About Me
Echo is a sweet, independent girl who loves being near her people — just not necessarily on them! She enjoys sharing the room with her humans, chatting with them, and receiving plenty of gentle attention on her own terms.
She loves head and chin scratches, being brushed, and relaxing in a cozy spot while watching the world go by. Give her a wand toy and she’ll happily chase it around before settling down for a well-earned rest.
Personality
Quiet, gentle, independent, affectionate, cautious, and playful
Ideal Home
Echo would thrive in a calm, relaxed home where she can take her time settling in and have a comfortable place to relax near her people. Older, cat-savvy children who understand her boundaries would be a good fit.
Echo would potentially enjoy a feline companion with a slow introduction, especially if the other cat is a good match for her personality.
Fun Fact
• Echo has a soft, ladylike meow and loves to “talk” with her people
• She’ll gently pat your hand or arm when she wants more pets
• She loves bird watching from the window
• She enjoys cat TV, but the real birds outside are definitely her favourite!
• She is an excellent litter-box user
• She loves to scratch and stretch on sisal scratching posts
• She is surprisingly playful and will almost always join in when invited!
Additional Info:
Echo is not a fan of being picked up and held, but she has been making progress with this and is becoming more comfortable over time. She is also continuing her weight-loss journey, so her forever family should be committed to helping her maintain a healthy weight with appropriate food and activity.
Echo may be a more independent girl, but she makes a wonderful companion. She wants to be part of your life, hear you talk to her, and enjoy your company — all while having the freedom to choose when she wants affection.
